The Samsung Bixby is the new feature which has been included in the latest Samsung S and Note series. It let’s you give commands and ask questions via voice prompt which is pretty cool. But with this amazing feature comes a frustrating downside which is the location of the Bixby button. It is located below the volume button which can lead to accidental pressing of the Bixby button during volume control or when performing any action that requires the operating the volume button.

If you are not a fan of the Samsung Bixby button, then you might have been searching for a way to completely disable the Bixby button. To permanently disable Samsung Bixby, you can follow these steps.

How to disable Bixby button

  • Press the Bixby button located on the left side of the phone, below the volume
  • Tap the three cogs in the top menu bar
  • Tap the settings button
  • Click the toggle bar

After these few steps, the Bixby button is being disabled and you can press it without having to worry about opening the Bixby home.

How to disable Bixby voice

  • Click the Bixby button, it takes you to the Bixby home. An alternative would be to swipe right on the Samsung home button till you get to the Bixby home
  • Tap the three cogs in the top menu bar
  • Tap the settings button
  • Tap the toggle bar to disable Bixby voice

How to disable Bixby home

This will permanently disable Samsung’s Bixby and its functions

  • Press and hold any empty space on the home screen until the menu appears
  • Swipe right till you reach the left home panel
  • Now, disable the Bixby home

Once you have followed these three major procedures the Samsung Bixby will be completely disabled and you can operate any Samsung S8 or S9 or note series without any interruption.
