How can I uninstall Samsung Bixby?

When it comes to gadgets, software and mobile apps, disadvantages are very likely to be present. The Samsung Bixby shortcoming is its location right below the volume button on the left side of your device. It is common that the volume button is a multipurpose button therefore from time to time the Bixby button is accidentally pressed due to the proximity of the Bixby button to the volume button. This has proved to be very frustrating which leads us to the question, how do I permanently uninstall Samsung Bixby?

Choose your Galaxy series

To completely uninstall Samsung Bixby, follow these easy steps below; How to disable Bixby home

  • This will permanently disable Samsung’s Bixby and its functions
  • Press and hold any empty space on the home screen until the menu appears
  • Swipe right till you reach the left home panel
  • Now, disable the Bixby home

With this done, you have successfully uninstalled the Samsung Bixby and you are free to operate your device with ease. Note that in the future, if you desire to make use of Bixby ensure you follow these same steps in a reverse pattern.

This is to me, the most useless app in a mobile phone, ever created. Even though, Bixby is turned off in the home screen, it keep popping up while using the phone. It is weirdly installed a shortcut in the lower screen to the right. Why? It is still stealing battery power when turned off and if I deactivate the Bixby apps, they reactivate themselves. Bixby is in that sense a virus!

Clearly its not uninstalled. Perhaps Samsung is forced to abide by the long arm of the state however, it makes them culpable.

I don’t think you know what ‘uninstall’ means.
    That is not even disabled.

You can check the memory used by Bixby voice (more than 4 MB in average at the last 3 hours) and wonder why a ‘disabled’ apk collects data.

    Last Samsung ever!
    No privacy.

If cellphones were cars an iPhone would be a 2020 Tesla and a Samsung would be a 1950 Ford . Im dropping off my Samsung into the Best Buy recycle bin after I smash it . This as all due to OK Google and Bixby not being able to uninstall .

This app is a useless, annoying piece of shit. If I really wanted this kind of pain in my ass, I’d stick a red hot poker up my rectum.

Last time I commented on Samsungs bixby spyware, virus program sucking up my battery and stealing my memory space (that I PAID FOR) some anal POS blacklisted me from Samsung’s .net website 2 years ago, and STILL wont let me even ATTEND the site. All because I said bixby sucks and I was angry for Samsung deciding they needed my memory space more than me on MY phone..
Too bad they didn’t just think on it and produce a great product at first instead of destroying any chance that most people will EVER use this awful bixby virus on purpose. Then to FORCE it upon us and make us have to PAY for a third party program to finally stop the invasive intrusions. AWFUL! This (removal) scenerio above is a scham too. This doesn’t come close to removing it and barely stifles it’s existence. Such a shame…

Bixby is by far the most intrusive piece of shit I’ve yet to encounter in terms of “digital assistants”. With every update it installs junk apps like “Makeup, Home Decor and Sunglass Shop” (try Googling it, apparently it’s such junk that it doesn’t exist in the public eye) that I never agreed to download. I never wanted this in the first place, i was forced to click through the agreement screen to even start my S9 when I first got it and would LOVE to be able to COMPLETELY remove it in all of its spyware glory from my phone permanently as I have fully functional hands and fingers and lack the pretentiousness to need to rely on voice commands when dealing with my mobile.

Bottom line, Samsung, I’d wager there’d be a lot less hackers trying to jailbreak/root your devices if you gave US, the users who paid for this overpriced crap, the ability to exert a little more control over the software on our phones. Charging over a thousand dollars for a phone that we have very little control over is pretty shameful, and I expected more from you as a company. Seems like you’re just trying to become like Apple.

I want Bixby uninstalled and this page does not answer how to do that. No program should be on my phone that I paid for unless I install it. Also, I should be able to uninstall any app. I am not sure I would have bought a Samsung phone if I had known about Bixby. S10e
